Nikon D90
I have bought my new camera…
Its a Nikon D90 with a 18 – 105mm lens. I looked long and hard at different cameras before deciding on this one. Mainly because the reviews for it were excellent and so providing my customers with excellent photographs.
I have also bought myself
Nissin Di622 Flash
A Tamron 70 – 300 zoom
New Camera
OK I made the decision that to get any further with my photography I really needed a new camera. I needed a camera that was more professional and more capable. Don’t get me wrong my Fuji S9500 is a superb camera but its just not up to the job of what I need a camera in business for (portraits, weddings) but of course it will still be used for landscapes etc.
After LOTS of deliberation I decided to sell my beloved car. Its a Nissan 200sx (S13) that I have looked after and loved for over 7 years. But its getting harder and harder to afford fuel for it and keeping it on the road is a real pain sometimes.
But the upside of selling my car (above) is I can finally afford to buy myself a ‘proper’ DSLR and make some money from something I have loved doing for so long….. take photographs !!

Fuji S9500
I am like most people susceptible to bargains on ebay so when I saw a fuji s9500 for sale at a good price I had to bid….
I won the auction and the camera is excellent, it may be old tech now but it still produces great photos as you can see below

Fuji s8000fd
I bought a Fuji s8000fd which is a cheap bridge camera that is no longer made. Its not the best camera in any particular area and you are not going to impress your friends BUT it is a great all round camera and its also quite small and light. It also has a good zoom range (18x) which is equivalent to something like a 400mm lens on a DSLR and it goes to wide angle to. One aspect were I think this camera really shines is with macro photography (close-up) like this toad below
Here are some more sample shots from this camera
