Handy tool for photographers

Have you ever seen those photographs where the photograph is black & white apart from a certain area

image

You can see in my photo above how I have made it B&W apart from the centre phone box. In that instance above I used selection tools etc but I have found an easier way.

There is a small programme that will do the work for you called Tintii. Yep weird name but it works well, and you can use the standalone version for free or the filter (that works with photoshop or paintshop) has a small charge and you can download it from

HERE

You can also find a review about it on PC World

My new camera

I have my new camera (Fujifilm Finepix S8000fd) and I am very happy with it. It took me some time to get used to the settings and thought of returning it on more than one occasion but I stuck at it and now its easy to use and producing some nice photos.

These photos on the right were all taken close to home and as you can probably see I have a weak spot for dramatic skies.

These photos (and more to come) are available to buy on various items from my shop

I will keep on experimenting with my camera and of course post the results here.

Time for a Picnic

I love picnics with the family and as usual I take my camera along (as well as lots of food.....Hmmm....) sorry I drifted a bit there.. were was I ? Ah yes, The Young's family (that's us) had ourselves a nice little picnic not far from home in a very quiet Field above some woods. Not going to tell you more as its location is a closely guarded secret...

But I did take some photos...

This one like my other photos are available for sale at my shop
